Community College of Vermont Academic Addition

Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering services for a new 2-story, 12,000-sf addition and improvements to existing spaces in the Community College of Vermont Academic Building. The new building houses nine classrooms plus additional support service offices.

Mechanical services included new high efficiency boilers with variable speed pumps, variable refrigerant flow heat pumps, general and specialty exhaust system requirements, and DDC temperature controls. The design of the new heating and air conditioning systems interconnected with those in the existing adjoining building. Plumbing services included improvements to the primary water service entrance and extension into the new building with new water conservation fixtures.

Electrical services included modifications to the primary power service entrance and re-feeding to the existing main panel in the existing building, new high efficiency lighting, controls, and expansion of the fire alarm system.
