To enhance safety and operational efficiencies, DuBois & King designed a 600 ft runway safety area extension, new taxiways, signage, pavement markings, and localizer. Construction of the Runway 1 Safety Area Improvements and new taxiways are scheduled for completion in the 2015.

Full-time office engineering with periodic construction inspection services over a 2-month period for an accelerated bridge replacement project for Bridge 93 on Vermont Route 30, including associated railroad track lowering. Project consisted of a new precast bridge substructure and superstructure with road subbase, stormwater drainage, street signage, pavement markings, and related roadway items. The railroad portion consisted of ballast removal, lowering of approximately 1,500 ft of track under the bridge and installing 340 new ties.
D&K provided survey, permitting, and site engineering for the $34M Department of Labor Job Corps Center campus in Manchester, New Hampshire. The campus is located on a steep, wooded 20-acre site and consists of two dormitories, an educational building, a cafeteria, an administration building, a welcome center, a recreational building, parking, roadways, and walkways. Construction was completed in the spring of 2015.
Tropical Storm Irene damaged 1,350 lf of the 25-ft-high river embankment supporting VT 14, carrying 3,000 vehicles per day between Sharon and South Royalton, Vermont. D&K designed repairs including embankment stabilization and armoring, underdrains, 660 lf of vertical profile and superelevation corrections, guardrail, and culverts. The project is being constructed in the 2015 construction season.
VTrans selected DuBois & King to provide Construction Inspection services for an Accelerated Bridge Project (10 day road closure) on Vermont Route 11 in Andover, Vermont. The project included the replacement of the superstructure, bridge and approach rail, approach slab, and wingwalls, and bridge seat. The project was completed in the 2015 construction season.
