DuBois & King, Inc. is currently hiring for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer/Designer with 8+ years of experience in site, building systems, and/or infrastructure design.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervision and direction of daily activities of the Mechanical Engineering Department.
  • Includes project planning, design, management and inspection phase duties in wide range of mechanical engineering related functions for commercial, industrial, institutional, healthcare, recreational and municipal projects.
  • Project management responsibilities include client relations, project scheduling, budget and contract administration; key participation in developing project workload for Mechanical Engineering Department.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering is required
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is preferred.
  • PE is preferred
  • LEED AP preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Duties shall include preparation of reports, CAD, and specifications for all types of projects related to site development, buildings, HVAC and electrical processes and controls.
  • Establish a working relationship with the other staff, and be an effective team member of the Division.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning, and design projects.
  • Learning key engineering software, such as AutoCAD, Revit and other programs/conventions.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in electrical engineering is required
  • FE preferred or  obtained within first 6 months of employment.
  • PE is preferred
  • AutoCAD and/or Revit experience is preferred.

Staff Aviation Engineer

 

DuBois & King, Inc. is seeking a Staff Aviation Engineer with approximately 0-5 years of experience.  This is a full-time engineering position with full benefits in our busy and growing aviation division.

Responsibilities:

  • Learning key engineering software, such as AutoCad, Civil 3D and GIS programs/ conventions.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of plans, specifications, and estimates.
  • Conduct site reviews as needed for feasibility studies, planning and design projects.
  • Provide conceptual, preliminary, and final design civil engineering support for all divisions. These tasks are likely to include: investigation, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, and design development on a variety of projects.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
  • B.S. degree in Civil Engineering
  • AutoCAD, Civil 3D and GIS experience preferred.
  • Aviation  experience preferred
  •  Vermont Professional Engineer license.

Staff Water Resources Engineer

 

DuBois & King is seeking a Water Resources engineer with 3+ years of experience. This is a full-time engineering position with full benefits and opportunities for professional growth in our South Burlington, VT, Randolph, VT or Hamburg, NY offices.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide services for and deliver a wide range of water resource projects including: stormwater systems, drainage design, flood studies, watershed plans, outfall stabilization, scour analysis and erosion/sediment control.
  • Conduct technical evaluations to support planning and design projects related to water resource systems.
  • Assist with planning, conceptual, preliminary and final design level-related civil and water resource engineering support. These work tasks are likely to include: investigation, research, calculations, evaluation of alternatives, and development of design details, technical specifications and project cost estimating.
  • Support field investigations/evaluations when required.
  • Support construction projects with office engineering services (submittal review, contract document interpretation, requests for information, correspondence, change requests, and change orders) when required.
  • Communicate and work effectively with other design team members including project manager, project engineers, design technicians, drafters, surveyors, contractors, and inspectors.
  • Prepare permit applications/reports for oversight agencies to address the full range of environmental issues and conditions associated with water resources projects.
  • Experienced proficiency of water resource modeling software, such as GeoHMS, Hydrocad, Flow3D, HECRAS 2D, and ArcGIS modelling.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • 3+ years of experience in the environmental field
  • EIT or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire
